PULP GENERAL


Bleached pulp
Pulp that has been purified or whitened by chemical treatment or alter coloring mater and has taken on a higher brightness characteristics.

Dissolving pulp
Pulp intended primarily for conversion into chemical derivatives of cellulose.

Hardwood
Wood obtained from a class of trees known as angiosperms, such as birch, maple, oak, gum, eucalyptus, and poplar. These trees are characterized by board leaves and are usually deciduous in the temperate zones.

Softwood
Wood from coniferous tree whose leaves are needlelike such as pine spruce, or hemlock or scale-like such as cedar.

Nonwood
Wood renewable and non-invasive resource or by product of sugar mill and plantation such as straw bamboo.Same non-invasive such as kenaf, and reed etc.

Paper marketing Pulp
Pulp intened for manufacture of paper and board.

Unbleached pulp
Paper marketing pulp that has not been subjected primarily to brighten it.

Waste paper
All types of used paper or paper discarded or not consider fit for a particular use which provides a source of fiber for the manufacture of some papers, paperboards ,and chipboards. Wastepaper is usually processed in a separrate plant section of a mill, which includes pulping(but not cooking), screening, cleaning, etc.
